We discuss the coupling between collective intersubband excitations and LO phonons in doped GaAs - (AlGa)As multiple- quantum-well heterostructures. The analysis is applied to the interpretation of inelastic light scattering spectra and yields the Coulomb matrix elements for the intersubband transitions
