Les propriétés supraconductrices de différents matériaux sont discutées en vue de l'utilisation de ces derniers dans des aimants produisant de hauts champs magnétiques. Les densités de courant critique au-delà de 12T pour des conducteurs tels que NbN ou PbMo6S8 sont comparés à celles des conducteurs actuels les plus avancés, à base de Nb3Sn avec différentes additions.
