The piezoelectric photothermal results obtained for a series of CdSe and Cd$_{1-x-y}$Be$_x$Zn$_y$Se mixed crystals are presented and discussed. The experimental results comprise the piezoelectric amplitude and phase spectra of these crystals. The thermal diffusivities were determined from the experimental piezoelectric phase spectra. The optical absorption spectra of the crystals were determined by the fitting of the piezoelectric amplitude spectra
