La technique de diffusion anomale différentielle des rayons X a été utilisée pour étudier la structure atomique locale dans des films minces amorphes de Fe Ge2. Les fonctions de distribution radiale ont été déterminées. Les atomes Ge sont essentiellement entourés de Fe et les distances Ge - Ge sont trop longues pour correspondre à des liaisons covalentes ou métalliques. La structure de cet alliage amorphe a été aussi comparée à celle de la phase cristalline de même composition.
