Un prototype d'onduleur hélicoïdal à cinq périodes, de conception nouvelle, a été construit et testé. Les mesures de champ magnétique montrent que ce type d'onduleur pourra être utilisé pour la construction d'un onduleur de cinquante périodes fonctionnant comme laser à électrons libres accordables dans la gamme spectrale 100 µm à 400 µm.A five period helical undulator prototype of novel design has been constructed and tested.
