La résonance magnétique des noyaux 167Er et (155)(157)Gd a été détectée dans les grenats d'erbium et de gadolinium, à 4,2 °K, par la méthode des échos de spin. Les champs hyperfins observés sont de 5,59 et 3,94 MOe pour les noyaux Er et de 335 kOe environ pour les noyaux Gd. La diagonalisation de l'Hamiltonien ionique de Er3+ conduit aux champs de 5,580 et 3,833 MOe.
