Des bifurcations vers des états périodique et chaotique ont été observées dans une cavité en anneau totalement optique. On a utilisé un train d'impulsions délivré par un laser à modes bloqués comme une source de lumière intense et quasi-continue. La cavité contenait une fibre optique monomode permettant la propagation d'une onde quasi plane. Les résultats sont en accord avec la théorie de Ikeda et al.Bifurcations to periodic and chaotic states have been observed in an all optical ring cavity. A mode-locked pulse train was used as a strong quasi-C.W. light source. The ring cavity consisted of a single-mode optical fiber allowing a propagation of a quasi-plane wave.
