Le test de traction monoaxiale à grande vitesse de déformation et hautes températures constitue une bonne approche de la simulation du thermoformage des résines de polystyrène. La confrontation des résultats obtenus d'une part sur gobelets quadrillés et d'autre part sur des éprouvettes de traction aboutit aux mêmes conclusions concernant l'analyse de la déformation de la feuille de polystyrène lors de la mise en oeuvre.
