Nous avons étudié les mécanismes de diffusion des protons dans l'eau pure et les solutions aqueuses de ZnCl2, par diffusion quasi-élastique incohérente de neutrons et avons montré qu'il était indispensable de tenir compte du mouvement de rotation des molécules d'eau ; le temps de relaxation caractéristique associé passe de 0.8 ps pour l'eau pure à 20 ps pour la solution saturée ce que l'on interprète en termes de rotations gênées dans les solutions concentrées. La partie translationnelle des spectres a été convenablement représentée sur tout le domaine en Q exploré, à l'aide d'un modèle de diffusion par sauts aléatoires.
