Adsorptive bubble separation technique is especially advantageous in treating mixtures of dilute liquid solutions of compounds that have different degrees of hydrophobicity like protein molecules. In this work we demonstrate this separation technique by studying the effects of important variables such as the pH solution, and the superficial gas velocity (Vgas) on the performance of a bubble and foam fractionation column for separating binary mixtures of bovine serum albumin (BSA) and cytochrome C. The results showed that the pH plays a very important role in this process.
