In this paper, a time-variant state space discrete model is derived via a simplified discretization of the two-axis continuous model of an induction motor. Computer simulation results show better performance of the proposed model in terms of accuracy and stability compared with those obtained from the classical Euler method. Using the proposed discrete model, a discrete-time reduced-order flux observer is analyzed.29234935
