Dipropionamide Complexes Of The Lanthanide Perchlorates

The preparation of compouds with the general formula Ln(ClO4)3. 4DP (where LnLaYb, Y; DP = dipropionamide) is reported. The i.r. and Raman spectra support a Td symmetry for the perchlorate ion and a trans-trans planar structure of the dipropionamide. The X-ray powder diffraction patterns for all the complexes are indicative of the same structure.
