PURPOSES: The purposes of this study are to analyze the influence of leadership on employee motivation and performance, and the influence of motivation on employees’ performance. METHODS: Samples of this research are 150 employees of the Islamic university in Medan City. The sampling technique using simple random sampling. Data were collected by questionnaire instrument. The data obtained were analyzed using path analysis.
