Laparoscopic radical prostatectomy has become an accepted alternative to open surgery. Our goal is to compare the oncological outcome of both approaches. The prospective study was initiated in September 2012, during 10 months. The high risk tumors were excluded from the study, only low and intermediate risk were included. We evaluated the following parameters: age, PSA, biopsy Gleason score, operative time, blood units, surgical margins, complications, Gleason score and TNM stage of the surgical specimen.
