Este estudo teve como objetivo descrever e analisar criticamente aspectos envolvidos no recrutamento, seleção e contratação para o trabalho de pessoas com deficiência em empresas privadas. Buscou-se identificar e descrever as práticas adotadas em empresas privadas para colocação de pessoas com deficiência nos respectivos setores de trabalho, bem como conhecer e analisar a posição de empresas privadas em relação à lei que determinou porcentagem para contratação de pessoas com deficiência.
