Signs of an ideal: textbooks of Moral and Civic Education in Florianópolis in the 1970s 2015

This dissertation discusses under what the ideal of civility signs was prepared in three textbooks the discipline of Moral and Civic Education in Florianópolis of education systems in the 1970s, the environment in which they circulated. The documentary research body was set up by the books of the authors Jaldyr Bhering Faustino da Silva and Ayrton Capella (1st degree), Benedicto de Andrade (2nd degree) and Almiro Petry, Joseph Odelso Schneider and Matthias Lenz Marine (higher education), as well as the O Estado, the magazine Education and Teaching of Santa Catarina and the laws that include discipline. About morality and civility deals with the institution of mandatory in school education, prescription of knowledge and the ways in which built civility on the peculiarities of each book. The theoretical basis is structured under the Cultural History, founded by Roger Chartier (1990), with the analysis of the category of representations that aims to peer as the idea of civility was presented by three books, their setbacks and approaches on the official prescription. And in dialogue with Antonio Castillo Gómez (2002), under the writing culture attributes, undertakes the analysis of the material and symbolic dimension of books, understood as school learning instruments in order to put into relief the relations established between school subjects and written cultures.A presente dissertação problematiza sob quais signos o ideal de civismo foi elaborado em três livros escolares da disciplina de Educação Moral e Cívica nos sistemas de ensino de Florianópolis, na década de 1970, ambiente em que circularam. O corpo documental da pesquisa foi constituído pelos livros dos autores Jaldyr Bhering Faustino da Silva e Ayrton Capella (1º grau), de Benedicto de Andrade (2º grau) e Almiro Petry, José Odelso Schneider e Matias Marinho Lenz (ensino superior), bem como o Jornal O Estado, a Revista Educação e Ensino de Santa Catarina e as legislações que contemplavam a disciplina. Acerca da moral e do civismo aborda-se a instituição da obrigatoriedade na educação escolarizada, a prescrição dos saberes e as formas pelas quais se construiu o civismo nas peculiaridades de cada livro. O embasamento teórico estrutura-se sob a História Cultural, fundamentada por Roger Chartier (1990), com a categoria de análise das representações que visa a perscrutar como a ideia de civismo era apresentada pelos três livros e os seus recuos e aproximações quanto à prescrição oficial. E, em diálogo com Antonio Castillo Gómez (2002), sob os atributos da cultura escrita, empreende-se a análise da dimensão material e simbólica dos livros com o objetivo de por em relevo as relações que se estabelecem entre sujeitos escolares e as culturas escritas.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superio
