The aim of this work was to analyze the influence of the process parameters on the residual stress on the surface of parts molded by injection in ABS (acrylonitrile-butadienestyrene). Different injection processes were carried out on the commercial software Moldflow Plastics Insight (MPI), examining the relationship between the process conditions and the surface residual stresses. Statistical analysis (DOE) of the simulations were carried out on the commercial software Statistica, where it was inferred that the injection time and packing pressure are the most relevant factors affecting the surface residual stress.
