Rice is very sensitive to low temperatures during the reproductive phase, especially in microsporogenesis. At this phenological stage, temperatures below 17°C can sterilize the spikelets, causing great productivity decrease. This study was carried out aiming to evaluate the effect of low temperatures during microsporogenesis on spikelet sterility and grain production of irrigated rice genotypes.
