This study was inspired by the work concept from the Research Group on Conservation and Use of Forest Resources, which considers that due to the complexity of the Araucaria Forest (FOM), there is a need for conducting population ecology research that comprises this vegetation type. Thus, the species, Podocarpus lambertii, appears in high frequency in community studies, besides being one of the two native gymnosperms.
