El objetivo de este trabajo fue analizar los efectos del mejoramiento genético sobre diversos componentes fisiológicos del rendimiento en cultivares de trigo obtenidos en la subregión IV triguera Argentina entre 1942 y 1992. Los estudios comprendieron el análisis de variables ya estudiadas en los cultivares argentinos, e incluyeron otras como: la arquitectura del canopeo, el área foliar y la tasa fotosintótica de la hoja bandera, las cuales no han recibido mayor atención hasta el momento. La experiencia se condujo con los cultivares Buck Quequén (1942), B. Manantial (1965), B. Pucará (1980) y B.
