We present split-ring resonator-based microwave sensors for biosensing applications. The sensor comprises a metallic ring with a slit and integrated monopole patch antennas on top of a dielectric substrate. The resonant frequency of the devices is optimized for S-band. We realized two different biosensors for i) measuring the interactions between molecular pairs of heparin and fibroblast growth factor2 (FGF2), ii) label-free detection of glucose the concentration of glucose. The sensors are capable of measuring molecular concentration within physiological ranges
