PENINGKATAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP SIFAT-SIFAT CAHAYA MELALUI MODEL KOOPERATIF TIPE GROUP INVESTIGATION (GI) BERBASIS EKSPERIMEN PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract : The purpose of the research to improve the understanding of light characters concept at the fifth grade student of elementary school. The form of this research was Classroom Action Researches (CAR) which was held in two cycles. Each cycle there were two meetings that consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects were fifth grade students of elementary school totaling 22 students. Data collection techniques used testing, observation and interviews. The validity of data used triangulation techniques and triangulation of data sources. Data analysis applied the analysis of qualitative data and quantitative data. The results showed the use of cooperative model type Group Investigation (GI) based experiment can improve the understanding of light characters for fifth grade student of elementary school. Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sifat-sifat cahaya siswa kelas V SD. Penelitian ini berbentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdapat dua pertemuan terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 22 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan tes, observasi dan wawancara. Validitas data menggunakan triangulasi data dan sumber. Analisis data dilakukan melalui analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penggunaan model kooperatif tipe Group Investigation (GI) berbasis eksperimen dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sifat-sifat cahaya siswa kelas V SD
