Abstract: The purpose of this action research is to improve the reading comprehension skill through know want to learn strategy. This research used a classroom action research method with 2 cycles. The research subjects is the fiveth grade student of State Primary School of 02 Tlobo consist of 25 students. Its data were gathered through observation, in-depth interview, documentation, and test. For analyzing data used interactive model of analysis. Result of the analyzing is average score of class in before action is 65,6; in cycle I the average score improves to 69,4; and in cycle II improves to 78,2.
