Dynamic stimuli capture attention, even if not in the focus of endogenous attention. Such a stimulus is apparent motion, given that it benefits perception of targets in the motion path. These benefits have been attributed to motion-induced ‘entrainment’ of attention to expected locations (spatial extrapolation) and/or expected time-points (temporal entrainment).
