An analysis of the results of a comparative field work study in phonetics, dealing with the use and distribution of the glottal stop in Educated Czech and in Standard English. This is a study of 46 university educated Czech speakers from the Central Bohemian Region and 30 university educated English speakers from southern England, whose pronunciation is close to RP
