Many modern radio applications, such as astronomy and remote sensing, require high-precision polarimetry. These ap- plications put exacting demands on radio polarimeters (antenna systemsthatcanmeasurethestateofpolarizationofradiosources), and in order to assess their polarimetric performance, a figure of merit (FoM) would be desirable.
