Site index is one of important factors in determining the silviculture treatments. This research aims to develop a site index for Acacia mangium stand without thinning in PT. Musi Hutan Persada (MHP), South Sumatera by top height approach. This research comprises two-phases of analysis, namely height curve development and site index development. The diameter breast height and regression analysis were employed to approach the height curve. The best regression equation was selected to estimate top height from diameter breast height in each plot. These estimates of top heights became the inputs for modeling the site index using anamorphic method. Data were collected from semipermanent and permanent plots in PT MHP
