Hypertension is often referred to as the silent killer. One of antihypertensive drugs most widely used is captopril. Based of the short duration of action of captopril, the schedule becomes important to take medication to keep the blood pressure in the morning and evening (circadian blood pressure). This study aims to determine the decrease in blood pressure in the morning and evening after administration of captopril 25 mg every 12 hours compared to the group without taking medication schedule. This study is a quasi experimental. Subjects were patients with stage I hypertension aged 18-60 years who received a single antihypertensive captopril 25 mg two times a day for 14 days.
