PREVALENSI DAN FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEJADIAN KAWIN BERULANG PADA SAPI POTONG DI KABUPATEN GROBOGAN

Repeat breeding is a factor for infertility in cow. Repeat breeding is cow that had normal esterous cycle and clear estrous symptoms, but after it�s breed for 3 times or more with bull or insemination with high quality sperm the cow not pregnant. This research aims were to determine the prevalence and risk factors of repeated mating on cattle in the Grobogan District. The research was conducted on 256 cattle from 214 farmers. The questionnaire ware filled by interviewing farmers, direct observation of cattle and cattle breeders in the Grobogan District. Data from the questionnaires and direct observations were stored then processed using SPSS. The results of research showed that the prevalence of repeated breeding on cattle in Grobogan District by 19 %. Risk factors associated with repeated breeding on cattle in Grobogan District breeder were cattle have experienced abortion (P = 0.03
