PURWARUPA SISTEM PERINGATAN DINI KETINGGIAN AIR MELALUI SMS PADA BENDUNGAN

In monitoring of water level of a dam for many day usually done by looking directly into the field. It is certainly less efficient because of the need for labor, cost and time-consuming. If the water level monitoring is done through a distance is certainly more efficient than the old way. SMS is a medium to communicate via text contained in the phone. SMS can be used for the media in the dam water level height notifications via remote so it can be used as an early warning. In this research, a prototype dam created equipped with a sensor electrode to detect the height of the water level. The results are detected by the sensor is processed using the Arduino microcontroller board. Arduino will send the results via SMS to a designated mobile phone number using the help of Gsm sim900 Shield. The results of test showed that Early warning system prototype of water height via SMS on dam was successfully created and early warning can be notified by SMS. SMS can only be sent to the mobile phone number that has been entered in the system program. In addition to early warning notification via SMS is also displayed on the LCD display for easy reading status
