Fiber Polyvinyl Alcohol (PVA) containing Fe3O4 nanoparticles have been successfully prepared by the method electrospining. The fiber is made from a mixture solution of Fe3O4 nanoparticles in a solution of 10% PVA with a weight ratio of 10%, 50% and 70%. Electrospining process done at the needle tip from collector distance of 15cm with 15kV voltage. Fe3O4 particles bond with PVA known from testing Fourier Transform Infrared (FT-IR). Test results spectrometer Ultra Violet Visible (UV-Vis) by simply using Visible light with a wavelength of 400-700 nm, indicating higher absorption values with increasing concentration of Fe3O4 in fiber.
