THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ENGLISH LANGUAGE LEARNING PROCESS IN SMK FARMASI NASIONAL SURAKARTA

The purpose of this graduating paper is to examine the effectiveness of English language learning process in SMK Farmasi Nasional Surakarta which during seven years (2007-2013) always gets the first rank in every graduation in Surakarta. Another purpose is to explore about the curriculum that they used, the method and also the teaching approaches adopted by English language teachers in order to make the students interested and enthusiastic with English language learning. The methods of data collection of this graduating paper are direct observation, library studies, and internet research. The direct observation consists of conducting interview with the headmaster of SMK Farmasi Nasional Surakarta concerning brief history and profile of this school and with English language teachers to know about the learning process, the curriculum, the method or teaching approaches. The other methods are making a questionnaire which was spread out to the students to find out whether they are interested in English language learning or no
