This Thesis Discusses about Sultan Qaboos�s legitimacy problems in Oman and analyze the causes of protest that occurred in Oman. in that protest, people of Oman demanding bigger political participation that did not happen at the time in Oman. I will examine the causes of the protest that happened in 2011 and examine why it is happenned 40 years after Sultan Qaboos took leadership in Oman. I will see the protest caused by legitmacy problems of Sultan Qaboos in Oman. in doing that, first, I will identifying the problems of Sultan Qaboos�s legitimacy in Oman since 1970. Second, I will explaining why the people of Oman begins to questioning Sultan Qaboos�s legitimacy in 2011
