Scanner was discovered by Robert S. Ledley in 1943 in New York , United States. This tool is used to produce tomographic images of human body , the scan result is converted into an image by a computer inside picture using x -ray and positron emission obtained from the results of the scan, the tool is then called by Robert S. Ledley, ACTA ( Automatic Computerized Transverse Axial ).
