PROSES PENEMUAN MAKNA HIDUP MAHASISWA DIFABEL NETRA DI UIN SUNAN KALIJAGA

The purpose of the research is to understand the meaning of life finding process of visually handicapped students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Yogyakarta. The research applies phenomenology qualitative approach. The respondents consist of four visually handicapped students at UIN Sunan Kalijaga. Two of them are studying at Faculty of Tarbiyah dan the two next are finishing their study of Law Magister Program and Islamic Education, respectively. There are found some factors affecting the meaningless living the life at early age of blindness, meaning of life themes, meaning of life sources, accompanying contexts, challenges to pursue and enjoy a college life, and role of spirituality in meaning of life finding process. Meaning of life finding process of visually handicapped students can be described base on experience phases passed as from their first blindess� experience to the experience to pursue a college life. Each of those stages has living values, creative values, values to behave, and expectation values which are called as meaning of life sources.
