PERBEDAAN STATUS GIZI (TINGGI BADAN PER UMUR DAN INDEKS MASSA BADAN PER UMUR) PADA REMAJA USIA 13-15 TAHUN DI KECAMATAN RONGKOP DAN KOTA YOGYAKARTA

Background : Location is one of the factors that contributes to nutritional status (height-for-age and BMI-for-age). Rongkop sub-district and Yogyakarta city are two different locations in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta may have differences in factors that may affect on nutritional status. Objective : To study the differences on nutritional status of adolescents aged 13-15 years old in Rongkop sub-district and Yogyakarta City. Method : Descriptive analytic research is conducted in this study with cross sectional approach. The subjects are adolescents aged 13-15 years old with total of 166 subjects from Rongkop (97 subjects) and Yogyakarta City (69 subjects). Nutritional statuses are assessed with anthropometric measurements (height and BMI) and then categorized by age and gender with the WHO 2007 refference. Normality of the data was tested with Kolmogorov-Smirnof, unpaired t-test was used to compare height and BMI per group, and chi-squared to compare the nutritional status in the two locations. Result : There are no significant differences statistically in height and BMI between the two locations, stunting is seen more in Rongkop (19.59 %) while in Yogyakarta (8.7 %), and overweight is seen more in group Yogyakarta (18.84 %) while in Rongkop (10.31 %). Conclusion : There are differences nutritional status (height-for-age and BMI-for-age) between Rongkop subdistrict and Yogyakarta City but not significant statistically
