Insidensi Kasus Kematian Pada Kecelakaan Kereta Api di RSUP Sardjito tahun 2008-2012

Background: Railway Accident is an accident that keep happened in Indonesia every year. Railway accident can be define by an accident where Train vs Train, Train vs Other Vehicles, Train vs Human, Rolled over Train, or Vandalism to Train. Visum et Repertum is a written report by a doctor which is based on his/her vow and knowledge, about what his/her seen, examined, and found on a living victim or a dead victim which is asked by enforecement authorities. Aims: To find out the cause of death on dead victim of railway accidents compared by sex, age, number of victims, and the site of the accident. Methods: This study was descriptive retrospective, 33 data was retrieved from of Visum et Repertum which is conducted in Departement of Forensic and Medicolegal of Dr. Sardjito Hospital Result: The proportion of cause of death of dead victims by railway accident in 2008-2012 is 18 cases or 55% was because of damage of the organ, then followed by bleeding is 15 cases or 45%. Conclusion: On railway accident victim, which was checked in Departement of Forensic and Medicolegal of Dr. Sardjito Hospital was found that the proportion of organ damage is greater which is affected the brain and abdominal organ
