ANALISIS KONTINGENSI GENERATOR PADA SISTEM TRANSMISI 500 KV JAWA BALI

Contingency Analysis on 500 kV Java-Bali transmission system shows the characteristics of this system by giving attention to bus voltage, line loading and the availability of reserve. Contingency Performance Index calculation for generator is used to indicate how the generator outage affect to line loading and bus voltage on the system afterwards. Multiple generator contingency simulation has done with sequence of generator outage based on a Contingency Performance Index ranking. The system is not feasible to operate on contingency conditions, because the N-1 contingency, the lowest bus voltage is 0.939 pu at Pedan bus. But in terms of reserves , the system is able to operate up to N-3 contingency with total power outage 1601 MW. Load Shedding scheme performed on N-4 contingency, because swing bus is not able to supply the power demand of the system with frequency drop to 49.1 Hz. 814 MW of load is removed then the voltage on the system increase, line loading decrease, and the swing bus get the reserve back, it is 286.46 MW. 500 kV Java-Bali transmission system in is not feasible to operate on generator contingency conditions . Load shedding scheme is one of solution for system towards collapse because of multiple generator contingency
