PERHITUNGAN HIDRAULIK DAN PERANCANGAN POMPA DI PEMBANGKIT LISTRIK TENAGA PANAS BUMI (STUDI KASUS PERANCANGAN PERPIPAAN BRINE UNIT KARAHA PT. PERTAMINA GEOTHERMAL ENERGY)

To meet high demand of energy and also releases the dependency on petroleum, Indonesia needs to develop alternative energy sources to meet the situation. One of the alternative potential energy that owned by Indonesia is geothermal energy. PT . Pertamina Geothermal Energy , a national company engaged in the field of energy , is in the process of developing a Fluid Collection and Reinjection System ( FCRS ) and Geothermal Power Plant that located in Karaha , West Java . FCRS and Geothermal Power Plants consists of several major equipment , which have different functions such as separators , silencers , pumps , piping networks and so on. Every existing equipment must be properly designed in order to meet the production target. This final project performed hydraulic calculations and pump design based on head and the capacity of the network of piping that carries fluid from the separator to the pond and reinjection wells . The hydraulic calculations performed by varying the scaling that occurs in the piping network . Variations scaling is done by simulating a variation in pipe diameter of 0\" , 0.5\" , 1\" , 1.5\" , 2\" . After the hydraulic calculations performed next step to do is designing the pump . In this final project, the data that used to design the pump is the 1� variation . These conditions have been the most common case in scaling. In this final has been determined that the capacity of the brine flowing in the piping network is 118 m3/hr . After hydraulic analysis performed, obtained number of head is 533,43 m. From both these data specific speed is calculated to be the base of pump designing. This final project is to select and design parts of pump like impeller , diffuser , pump casings , shafts , pins, bearings, and so on. From these parameters, it was found that the type of pump is a centrifugal pump that is designed with 3 levels and a single suction. The prime movers used in the pump is designed with a type of induction motor at 2940 rpm and 300 kW power
