SISTEM PEMANEN ENERGI DENGAN TRANDUSER PIEZOELEKTRIK UNTUK PERANGKAT DAYA RENDAH

Vibration energy is a renewable energy source, which can be obtained in natural, sustainable and has the potential to be developed. The vibration energy can be harvested using piezoelectric technology that will transform the mechanical vibrations into electrical current. Through a literature review of several international journals and books, the main use of piezoelectric technology is as sensors and energy harvesters. Commonly used piezoelectric material is PZT and PVDF shaped cantilever beam with mass, while the author using PZT bender disc with a diameter of 20mm . Energy harvester system under study consists of several parts: piezoelectric transducer, multilevel rectifier diodes as modifiers alternating current into direct current, a supercapacitor as energy storage. Testing by providing mechanical stresses on the piezoelectric field through mechanisms footsteps (paving generator) of the human body with a mass 60 kilograms. Through empirical study in the laboratory, it was found that the resonance frequency of the transducer at intermediate frequency is 6.6 kHz and 7.4 kHz. While the frequency of vibrations due to footsteps is measured 10Hz to 1kHz. Power and energy generated by a piezoelectric transducer within 85ms is 88.74 μW and 7.54 μJoule, while the system energy harvester with a superposition of eight transducer, and multilevel rectifier can generate 23.6 mW and 4.36 mJoule within 185ms. The energy harvesting with 8x8 piezoelectric transducer arrays, can produce energy for 35mJ for one footstep so that once required 357 footsteps to fully charge the 1F supercapacitor
