Papaya leaves contain a chemical that serves as a drug that helps the process of wound healing such as flavonoids, saponins, papain, polyphenols, vitamins, and minerals. Macrophages are one of the important agents in the process of wound healing, especially in the inflammatory phase. This study aimed to determine the effect of papaya extract application to increase of macrophages in the wound healing process on gingival wistar rats.
