Add to ORKGThis study examines the health performance after decentralization in Aceh province, Indonesia. Result shows that overall decentralization brings improvement to health performance, as infant mortality rate is slightly reduced with decentralization. However, a huge gap occurs in each district/city due to decentralization where areas close to the capital city have more health infrastructures and health workforces. This study focuses on the situation of the infant mortality rate after the implementation of decentralization, and uses health infrastructures and health workforce data, based on Central Bureau Statistic (BPS) year 2002 and 2009.
