EFEKTIVITAS TERAPI TAMBAHAN SUARA BACAAN AL QUR�AN TERHADAP PASIEN DEPRESI DI RSUP. DR. SARDJITO YOGYAKARTA

Depression is the cause of 90% of suicide and can be found in patient of all ages and are prevalent in the community. The lack of spirituality approaches in facing pressures and life demands makes losing the meaning of life and depression. This is in part caused by the exclussion of religion from science and tends to forget the metaphysical dimension of science. The purpose of this study to examine the effectiveness of Quran recitation voice therapy as adjuvant therapy for depression patients using the BDI measure in the department of dr.Sardjito Yogyakarta end of January-May 2013. The study was conducted on 21 people with 9 control group and 12 treatment group. In the treatment group was given additional therapy of voice recitation the Qur'an once a day for14 days. Difference value in BDI score early and late analyzed by independent sample t-test. The results showed significant difference of the BDI score between treatment groups compared to the control group with p value 0.005. Mean and standard deviations in the treatment group was 14.67 ± 8.30, while in the control group was 3.89 ± 6.99. Mean difference is 10.77 and 95% Confident Interval value is 3,6-17,9. The results of this study, the voice therapy wit the Al Qur�an recitation can decreased levels of score of depression and can improve spiritual consciousness make positive effect for depression
