Persepsi Warga Dusun Tiyasan, Kecamatan Condong Catur Sleman Terhadap Pelaksanaan Otopsi Forensik

Background : Forensic autopsy is not mandatory in every death case, but when it is decided by the investigator to do the autopsy, no one can disturb the procces, and it does not need agreement from the family. However there are many rejection at autopsy permission from the family and this is affecting the law enforcement, because the evidence will not be optimal to make clear the criminal affair Tujuan : This study aims to obtain perception of people Tiyasan, Condong Catur, Sleman about dead body autopsy procces. Method : this study is observational descriptive with cross sectional design using survey method. The subject is 52 people of Tiyasan Village, Condong Catur sub-district, Sleman that meet inclusion criteria. Result : A total of 92.6% male respondents and 100% female respondents agree to perform autopsy examination for death because murder and suicide, while in case of accident, more respondent reject to perform autopsy. Factors that cause rejection of autopsy mostly because people think that autopsy only for looking for the cause of death, therefore death by accident does not need autopsy because people think they know the cause of death is accident. Conclusion : Perception from people of Tiyasan Village, Condong Catur subdistrict, Sleman shows that most of the people agree with autopsy in the case of unnatural death because of murder and suicide
