Acrolein is an intermediate product to produce other products, such as acrylic acid, methionine, methinine hidroxy, guraldehyde and synthetic amino. The needs of acrolein and acrylic acid have been fulfilled by importing from other countries. Development of acrolein in Indonesia is hoped to bring profits and increase national economic. The plant is planned to operate for 330 days/year with acrolein production capacity of 30.000 tons/year. The main raw material required is as much as 34.062,8 tons/year.
