HUBUNGAN KONDISI LEPAS OBAT PENYALAHGUNAAN OPIAT TERHADAP PERUBAHAN STATUS GIZI PASIEN REHABILITASI NARKOBA DI YOGYAKARTA

Background : Drug abuse is the use of drugs on the number of uncontrolled or excessive and long-term health disorder causing physical, mental and social life. Nutritional problems experienced by patients due to drug dependence decreased appetite due to some physiological disorders one of which is a gastrointestinal disorder such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhea as a result of the loose condition, especially abuse of opiate drugs. Long-term use of opiates, especially heroin, causing weight loss, malnutrition, and infectious complications (colds, pneumonia and tuberculosis), as the impact of the secondary immune dysfunction and metabolic disorders are all affected by food intake and nutritional status. Objectives : The aim of this study was to determine the relationship of drug abuse opiates loose condition to changes in the nutritional status of patients in drug rehabilitation Yogyakarta seen from body mass index values. Methods : Research is observational with cross sectional research design on April-June 2013. The samples were all patients who use narcotic opiate and is undergoing treatment in rehab PSPP Mandiri, Rehabilitasi Kunci Nandan and Griya Pemulihan Siloam, all located in Yogyakarta with the criteria can be measured weight and height and does not have the complications of infectious diseases such as HIV / AIDS, tuberculosis, Hepatitis B. Number of research subjects as much as 30 patient samples. Nutritional status is measured by Body Mass Index (BMI). Test analysis using chi square test with a confidence level of 95%. Result : An increase in the number of categories of ideal nutritional status. The sample had a history of malnutrition status as much as 36.7%, down to 13.3% in the current nutritional status and research samples have ideal nutritional status increased to 56.7%. Conclusions : The study shows that no significant or not related correlation between gastrointestinal conditions at the time of treatment as a result of drug abuse opiates off the current nutritional status
