Hydroxyapatite (HA) has been used in medical field as bone graft material since long time ago, however it has some differences with biological apatites. Hydroxyapatite is low soluble and very stable therefore inhibits bone remodeling rate. Carbonated hydroxyapatie is bone substitute alternative material besides HA.
