Improving the efficiency of the steam power plant system is needed to save fuel. One of methods to increase the efficiency of the power plant is by modifying the Rankine cycle. A Rankine cycle is modified by adding components reheater to reheat the high pressure turbine steam extraction (reheating) and preheater to early warming of the working fluid before it goes into the boiler (regenerative). This study was conducted by simulating the model of steam power plant and optimizing the steam turbine extraction pressure using Cycle Tempo 5.0.
