INVENTARISASI PARASIT PADA LALAT KANDANG AYAM DI KABUPATEN SLEMAN

The livestock sector especially poultry farming is an important sector that has recently been further increased in population. In the other hand, there are many interfering factors that may inhibit the development of the business in livestock sector especially poultry. One inhibiting factor is a disease caused by parasites and disease vector. The most troubling diseases vector in the poultry farms were flies, flies which are internally and externally carry and transmit the disease agent anywhere flies rest. The aim of this study was to know and to inventory the kinds of parasites on the external and in internal of the body of flies in the poultry farms around district of Sleman. This study used 100 flies sample were taken from 2 two layer farms and two broiler farms in many areas of the district of Sleman. Flies were collected and taken to the Laboratory of Parasitology of Universitas Gadjah Mada for examination by: (1) observed the morphology, (2) external parasites observed by centrifuging formalin detergent from flies washing, (3) observed internal parasites to dissect one by one the bodies of flies and observed with a microscope. Result were analyzed by descriptive qualitative. The result of this study showed thaton the direct inspection method can be found parasite from the body of flies was Dermanyssus gallinae and Argas persicus. The Ascaridia galli egg were found in the centrifugation method
