It has been estimated more than 6 of 1000 live births suffer from permanent hearing loss at birth or the neonatal period and at least 90% are in developing countries. Hearing loss need to diagnose as early as possible because of the intervention should be carried out before the age of 6 months. Risk factors for hearing loss in neonates are still not clear.
